JD Global Advantage Limited (company no. 7970787) was set up in February 2012 by its founding Director, Joe Dilger. It provides tailored training and consultancy / project services for Academies and schools in various key Governance, regulation and compliance areas, with some of the work completed so far including:
(1) Delivering well received trainings to local Academy Councils (local governing bodies) of 3 Academies in June / July 2012 on: Ofsted’s new September 2012 School Inspection Handbook ; on best practice (where necessary, and in line with DfE Exclusions guidance) in handling student exclusions ; Special Educational Needs ; Child Protection / Safeguarding ; and Admissions.
(2) Delivering well received trainings to a (multi academy) Trust and Executive team in January 2013, on: duties as charity trustees and company directors ; DfE duties for Academy Trusts ; policies that Governing bodies and Academy Trusts are required to have in place ; and The Equality Act 2010.
(3) Advising Academy Trust clients on how the new Ofsted September 2012 guidance (The Ofsted School Inspection Handbook, and the Ofsted Framework for School Inspection) applies to their Trustees, Executive teams, and their local Academy Councils (local Governing bodies) ; and
(4) Drafting ‘Recommended Agendas’ for Academy Trust and local Academy Council (local Governing body) meetings.
Where required to best meet clients' individual training needs, Joe works in partnership with a leading national firm of Education solicitors, to deliver such tailored training.
Background - before setting up his own Educational Governance Consultancy (JD Global Advantage Limited), Joe was the Head of Governance Services for the multi academy sponsor Oasis Community Learning (2008-11), as it grew from running 3 to 12 Academies around England.
